| New Vehicle Pricing on the Internet |
|
The ability to research new cars on the internet has greatly changed the way customers can price new vehicles. There are several great web-sites that offer this valuable pricing information.
A customer’s success will rely on accurate information. Which means you must be careful to price your selected vehicle with all the options and selected color. This guide book will only be effective if you utilize the accurate data. If you try to negotiate with wrong information, you will lose credibility and this guide book's calculations will be invalid.
The three pricing values a customer must research on their selected vehicle are the Base MSRP, Total MSRP and Total Invoice.
The Base MSRP is necessary in some vehicles to calculate the dealer’s Hold Back. The Total MSRP is the Manufacturer’s Suggest Retail Price and includes all the options and selected color. The Total Invoice is the invoice amount which includes all the options and selected color.
These values can be found on these websites: Edmunds.com , Carsdirect.com and KBB.com (Kelly Bluebook).
This guide book will demonstrate how to find these values on Edmunds.com and uses them to calculate the dealer’s net-cost in Chapter Three: Calculations .
